A few updates!!!

So I am trying to make some Halo Magnums, trying different sizes and trying to perfect my work technique with extruded polystyrene.

First version: 
 

Too big, many cutting mistakes, new try:

Version 2:

Better, maybe too small this time, only problem ....

I did might cut off too much to get all the details ... still can be used as something that is put on a wall.

Version 3:

Better, much better ... not perfect but getting there, 4 or 5 more and then I should have it.

Also here is a picture of the nearly finished Tech Adept:

First test fit on of the chestpiece and of course one of the foam belts rips of, so back to the workshop, need a different type of belt thingy ....... maybe leather belt?

Here are some updated pictures on projects.

First the Mask for the Tech Adept, made from a Kroenen-Mask and added polystyrene, kabels and hoses:

And some new things to show.

First and altered Kroenen Mask, will be the Mask of a Techpriest soon.  The original mask here is from fiberglass and resin, I attached some parts made from extruded polystyrene.

 

 

 Next we have a Horus Guard mask:

 

The templates I used from pepakura and cut them out of normal foam sheets, then glued together with hot glue, some priming with glue, tested spray version here (it sucks) and painted with some golden spraypaint

And something new again, everything made out of the same foam again.

Got some new material  now and will start on building bigger weapons :-)

Long time nothing updated.

Started with a new type of material now, foam, insulation foam for walls, extruded polystyrene.

My main inspiration is this awesome guy:

 DaFrontlineTrooper

After watching his videos and pictures I  decided lets give it a try.

I selected this weapon, because I always liked it when I played SWTOR and it doesn't look that complicated.



This is a conept art, I made the pistol after the model ingame









Now my try:

So after a little bit filling and acryl painting it looks like this now:

Now a little bit more painting and my first build with this material is done
